The Adventure Trail Pass

Thanks for visiting! The 2008 show is now over and we're busy planning for 2009. See you then!

The Adventure Trail Pass program is designed to introduce children to all of the adventure the outdoors has to offer. It will make each child’s trip to the Northwest Sportshow as educational as it is entertaining. Participants will begin in the Underwater Adventures Aquarium room where they will pick up their activity map and learn about life underwater.

* All kids completing the program will receive a special gift, while supplies last.

Stations Include:

Discover Fly Fishing
One of the most fun ways to fish is now the easiest to learn! From tying flies and casting to knowing were to go, get all of the information you need at the Discover Fly Fishing center. First, volunteers will provide instruction on how to tie both knots and flies. Then sail over to the pond for personalized lessons on throwing your best line. Companies will also be on hand to discuss rod building, spooling and repair. To find the best places in Minnesota to practice your new-found skills, don’t forget to stop by the Minnesota Department of Tourism information booth.
Our fly fishing experts are ready to show you how to catch your favorite fish (it’s not just for trout anymore!)

Archery Range
Learn the basic skills of archery at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources mobile archery range! Information on bow hunting ethics, safety and lessons will also be available.
Melanoma Awareness
No matter what your favorite outdoor activity is, it's always important to protect yourself from the sun! Stop at the Melanoma Awareness booth to learn more about the sun and it's effects. Everyone leaves with a sunscreen sample! (While supplies last.)
